Practicum Student/Volunteer

Ariana Faul
MEd School
Counselling Psychology Student

I have been a volunteer with Incentive Counselling since April 2021. I was incredibly fortunate to connect with Connie through a friend and felt an immediate connection with her; I saw my passion for helping others reflected in her and was eager to become involved. After meeting with Connie and Wendy about what Incentive Counselling stood for and how I could join the team, I jumped headfirst into a volunteer role. As a volunteer, I assist with blog posts, some social media, and course development, including the Anger Management and Anxiety for Youth programs.

My passion for counselling and supporting others began in high school, and I have been working toward a role in this field ever since. Throughout my undergraduate degree, I volunteered with a peer mental health support program on campus. I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Psychology in 2020. Currently, I am working toward obtaining my Master’s degree in School and Counselling Psychology at the University of Saskatchewan. I am working hard to develop my knowledge of evidence-based therapeutic interventions and gain valuable face-to-face experience with clients. My goal is to become a registered psychologist and provide counselling and psychoeducational assessment services to clients in the future.
