Director of Professional Services
Registered Social Worker
I am blessed to do the work I love and see each person as unique and valuable. I create a safe place where trust can flourish, and you can share your worries, fears, hopes, dreams and longing without shame or judgement. I promise to treat you with compassion and respect, to be honest, committed, and caring.
My work experience spans over 40 years with a diverse population – individuals and/or families in transition or crisis. In the last decade, I opened a successful counselling practice in Saskatoon, and in the fall of 2019, I co-founded Incentive Counselling in the Okanagan.
I have specialized training in cognitive behavioural therapy, reality therapy, motivational therapy, solution-focused therapy, couple’s counselling, play therapy, interest-based mediation, critical stress management, refuse and resist situations, high conflict divorce, and various other therapeutic modalities.
Separation and Divorce
New Ways for Families® – I am fully licensed and have extensive experience with the New Ways for Families program. This program helps divorcing/separated individuals stay out of court, make decisions cooperatively with their ex, and work effectively within their new family dynamic while keeping their child/ren’s best interests in the forefront.
Divorce counselling – I also have experience helping individuals navigate through the difficult change in their lives during the divorce process with divorce counselling.
Conflict Resolution
Family Conflict – Families don’t always function peacefully and occasionally, this can be attributed to conflict between two or more individuals within the family unit.
Individual Conflict – Emotional management can be difficult for everyone at times, but if it is affecting your interpersonal relationships, then counselling will be helpful. I specialize in emotional regulation management, including anger management.
Mediation
Workplace Mediation – Employee retention is difficult enough these days, but if you are an employer trying to solve some workplace conflict issues, I have experience in resolving this conflict to create a more cohesive and harmonious work environment for staff.
Relational Conflict – Mediation is a great solution to help you solve problems and make decisions cooperatively with an ex in regards to co-parenting schedules, responsibilities in regards to your children, and all other logistics of your new family dynamic.
